3. Add import feature after excel export

   1st idea: With ability to export to Excel, it would be great to be able to update the Excel file and then import the file to update. Simply state that the column headers must remain unchanged and coding should be able to recognize this very easily.

   This would be extremely helpful as many people (like myself) have iphones and ipads but work in a world where windows has a larger market. My work machines are on windows and using Excel I can make changes much easier than on my iphone or ipad. Having this feature also provides a work-around solution to not having a Windows version of the app. More sales of this app if this feature gets built.

   2nd idea: many org charts have a matrix relationship so it would be nice to have a child that could report to two parents.

   Please work on these solutions and I believe it would bring you a lot more business (especially the first idea)!!!

   Importing from Excel file can be easily implemented if the app does not care about the input. However to delivery a good solution for the users without technical background, it will not be that easy as inputting in excel file is out of the control of OrgChart app, as following issues will be frequent:

   - Incorrect tree structure (parent and child relationship)
   - Incorrect number input
   - Columns may be different
   - …

   Even OrgChart does well to report all the input error to the users, many of the users will be in big trouble to adjust the input.

   It may be better to extend OrgChart to windows – another business.

4. Corporate Logo Positioned on the charts

   Is it possible to position a corporate logo on to the charts to provide a more professional finish.

7. Contact - Org Chart Syncronisation

   If you update the Org Chart it updates your Contacts, if you update your Contacts it updates your Org Charts. Of course you can have a toggle in setup to turn on/off this feature.

8. Many ideas !

   Hi ! I loved this app. I found a lot of apps, softwares and sites that can make Organization Chart, but none was so perfect like OrgChart.

   Adds with contact list is genius !!!

   So, follow ideas:

   1. When we add a contact, only 1 phone is inserted. The most of contacts have more than 1 phone. This way, I have to insert manually the others phones in Custom Field...

   2. I am a Salesman, and I use this app to control and realize a "Account Planning" with my commercial team. I know that I am a specific user, and I have a lot of sugestion.... But one is very important, and I think that a lot can be used: Export files to publish on the web. In this page, let navigate opening/closing hierarquie. This simple feature really help me a lot !!!

    Exporting to mindmap (opml) is very limited as it's only exporting the department name. Is there anyway to export more information, at less in the Mindmap Notes?

    Thanks the idea.

    The data in OPML file is very simple, just to contain ONE text field for one node. There is no way to include more information.

    OPML is a standard format for different app to exchange data. It’s possible to use other format to exchange data IF THE FORMAT IS STANDARD, but unfortunately there is no other standard for mindmap. (there are many other formats defined by the apps, not standard format. the format may be changed out of control)

    1. Colours great but if you use them to represent a dept, company, etc would be great if you could put a legend on the chart so that when you print it or e-mail it the recipient can understand the coding.

    2. Any chance the chart could either auto-format or allow manual formatting so that larger org structures can use space below smaller org structures so that the overall width of the chart is reduced. This would allow it to be easier to read/understand when printed.

    3. Wrapping text; this is especially for job titles. I know can use large or extra large format but this creates issue on print size.

    for your idea #2 and #3, the purpose is to reduce chart width, I don’t know if you tried other chart layout (not only use the default layout), I’d like suggest you to try other layouts if you didn’t get chance to try them.

    OrgChart supports to customize the title of all the department fields, there is no fix definition of the “department”, “position” and “leader” fields which be shown on the chart. You can customize the title of the fields and input the content as what you want.

    (1) It should be very uselful if there will be field with the possibility to add resource cost

    (2) If there will be also automtic calculation of cost per structure (sum of sub-items) it would be awesome.
